Wedding Venue: Spotlight on Mount Gnomon Farm | North West Tasmania wedding venues

Wedding Venue: Spotlight on Mount Gnomon Farm

Take it from a Tasmanian wedding photographer. As far as Tassie wedding venues go, you won’t find a much better spot than Mount Gnomon Farm.

Just ten minutes from Penguin, you will find it nestled against the Dial Range, an impressive stretch of wilderness that spans from Penguin to Cradle Mountain, Mount Gnomon Farm truly is the hidden gem of North-West Tasmania.

As the name may suggest, what awaits you at Mount Gnomon is a beautiful farm experience sure to awaken each of your senses. On arrival, take a wander in the stunning gardens, before making your way to the rustic barn complete with a french fire. Your visit wouldn’t be complete without sampling a handcrafted cider, courtesy of the heritage apple orchard, or enjoying some delicious produce from the garden and farm.

Whilst we are of course showcasing Mount Gnomon Farm as a wedding venue, there is so much on offer here worth mentioning. On Wednesday through Friday, you will have the opportunity to assemble your very own platter or picnic spread from the homemade, free-range charcuterie, as well as the assortment of local cheeses, and pickled garden vegetables.

On weekends, they host a full lunch service, and the farm shop which is a must-see operates from Wednesday through Sunday. You can even request a tour to get a full view of the happenings at this wonderful farm.

Weddings at Mount Gnomon Farm

Considering a wedding at Mount Gnomon Farm? You certainly won’t regret it. Picture this, a stunning backdrop comprised of the Dial Range, while you overlook a cider orchard, complete with views of the sea.

It’s hard to go past Mount Gnomon Farm when it comes to hosting your wedding ceremony and reception. The barn was made for weddings, and with a 250-seat capacity, it is one of the largest and most spectacular venues to be found in North-West Tasmania.

Not only is it fit for any weather conditions, but the location is just so aesthetically pleasing - straw bales, firepots, lights, and yes, those spectacular views, all help to enhance the rustic farm theme that will have your guests in awe.

With a gardener on hand who is also a florist, a wide range of beverages courtesy of the garden cider bar, and catering that features the highest quality, ethical, seasonal produce from the farm, how could you possibly go wrong?
