Find out how to have a relaxing photo session with an active toddler - Launceston family photographer

A group of friends bought this little boy a gift certificate for his first birthday. What a fabulous meaningful keepsake.

When Jess contacted me I was in the middle of changing my business to specialise in documentary photography only. I gave her the option of designing a traditional portrait session or to go with my new direction of have a story telling session? To my excitement she opted for a story telling session.

She was pregnant at the time and decided to wait for bub to arrive.

The day finally arrived. boy was Thomas a little cutie! I spent three hours following him around, doing his favourite daily activities. There was no stress or frustration from anyone trying o get him to sit still and look at the camera. He called the shots, But I still got some beautiful portraits that represent him and his family at this very moment in their lives.

This is what Jess said when I asked her to write a little testimonial about her experience having a documentary session. "I recently had a documentary style photo shoot with Meghann, she came to our house and spent some time just taking photos of our day to day life. It was very relaxed and natural, perfect for small children who do not "cooperate" for posed photos. I cannot express how much I love the book of photos I received today, she has managed to capture our normal life and make it look so special and beautiful. Something to treasure forever. The presentation and also the inclusion of a USB with all the photos on it is exceptional. Thank you Meghann!"

When I thanked her again later, She said it made her teary just thinking about the album and she meant every word. This just made my heart sing with happiness!!! This is what I want. I want you to drag out that box of tissues and remember and see how beautiful your life is just the way it is.

Here are just a few to show you. Enjoy.
